A little more progress made on the Ultima. Jez has made and tacked up the manifolds. And the new big brake setup he designed all fits perfectly - custom bells and brackets with AP calipers and BTCC floating disks.

We've nearly finished fabricating a custom manifol

We've nearly finished fabricating a custom manifold and down pipe for Grahams Ginetta. Its running a Borg Warner EFR7163 with T4 divided twin scroll exhaust housing.

The car is going used for hill climbs and sprints - previously it had a variable vane turbo. It was very responsive but limited power. The class rules have changed recently which means more power is required to remain competitive.

The new turbo is a much more modern design which will hopefully give a load more power and still be low lag. The manifold is designed with cyls 1+4 and 2+3 into each side of the T4 divided twinscoll collector which will also help minimise lag.

The car runs a Syvecs ECU and we'll be taking advantage of its motorsport traction and launch control once the wheel speed sensors have been installed.

Its been slow progress on the Ultima but we’ve just finished the gearbox and engine mounts. We can get the driveshafts on order now and crack on with turbo and manifolds.
